Happy Halloween!

Thank you very much to all of the family members who attended our poetry cafe. The students did a fabulous job presenting the poems and enjoyed teaching family members some of the literacy games we play in class.

We have been selected to participate in a co-teaching literacy opportunity and welcome Mrs. Scheer to our room Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week.

The science test is scheduled for Thursday. A second review sheet will be sent home with the Grade 3 students on Tuesday. The Grade 2 students will be bringing home a simple machines game to play for test review.

Math: We will complete our study of two digit numbers and giving change (money) this week. A test for unit 2 is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 8/11. A review sheet will be sent home on Thursday.

Social Studies: The 3's continue to learn about the Early Settlers. The 3's will have a field trip on Nov. 25th to "travel back in time" and role play an early settler for the morning. The 2's will have the option of attending the field trip. The 2's will continue to research celebrations and traditions around the world.
