Week of December 6, 2010.

Wow! The winter season is upon us! Please ensure you are dressed to go OUTSIDE for breaks everyday. Indoor shoes are now required due to safety issues  related to wet floors. Please bring your running shoes and leave them in your locker.
This week we will be focusing on marketing and commercials. Each student will design a board game using probability in math and we will be writing game instructions and creating commercials for our games as part of our media studies. Please bring in one sheet of bristol board to class for game design by Wednesday, December 8, 2010.
Social Studies test: Our Wendat and Anishinabe quiz will be on Thursday. The review sheet will be sent home on Monday.
Science: We are starting our research of famous world structures for Structures and stability. Parents: please encourage your child to cross reference facts using internet resources, books, magazines, etc. You will receive an invitation to come and view our slide shows mid January.

Holiday Concert: Our concert dates are fast approching! Please send in your ticket requests and money asap. If you are NOT attending the evening concert, please drop your child off to perform for 6:00 pm and return for pick up by 7:15 pm. Thank you for your cooperation.
We are collecting Canadian Tire money and canned goods for Project Share, please send in donations and we will add them to our class collection.
Turkey raffle tickets have been sent home. Please return ticket stubs and money asap. Thank you for your support.

Please continue to complete reading logs and return them weekly. Our problem solving challenge will be sent home every Monday and is to be returned by Friday of the same week. A few students have not returned their at home reading books, please ensure books are returned promptly. Due to limited numbers, new books will not be sent home if your child has one outstanding. Thank you for your cooperation.
